Special Opportunities for Cub Scouts

  • Religious Emblems Programs  A Scout is reverent. He/She is reverent toward God. He/She is faithful in his/her religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion.  Duty to God
  • Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award  Tiger, Wolf, Bear and WEBELOS Scouts may earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.  This award recognizes the Scout for taking part in outdoor recreation and conservation projects.  In many cases, you can earn this award while doing other Scouting activities.  Click HERE for the application
  • Emergency Preparedness, BSA  The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is pleased to partner with the Boy Scouts of America to increase the level of citizen preparedness across the country.  DHS has asked the Boy Scouts of America to build up on the foundation of the Ready campaign and to help citizens across the country prepare for emergencies of all kinds.  Click HERE for the application.
  • Cyber Chip  Today's youth are spending more time than ever using digital media for education, research, socializing, and fun. To help families and volunteers keep youth safe while online, the Boy Scouts of America introduces the Cyber Chip. In developing this exciting new tool, the BSA teamed up with content expert NetSmartz®, part of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children® and training expert for many law enforcement agencies.
  • NOVA Award Program  The Boy Scouts of America's NOVA Awards program incorporates learning with cool activities and exposure to science, technology, engineering and mathematics for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturers. The hope is that the requirements and activities for earning these awards stimulates interest in STEM-related fields and shows how science, technology, engineering and mathematics apply to everyday living and the world around them. Counselors and mentors help bring this engaging, contemporary, and fun program to life for youth members.
  • Scout Strong To earn the SCOUTStrong PALA Challenge Award, you are required to meet a daily activity goal of 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 minutes a day for kids under 18 for at least five days a week, for six out of eight weeks. Stick with the program and you'll earn an award in less than two months
  • Cub Scout World Conservation Award  The World Conservation Award for Cub Scouts provides an opportunity for individual Wolf, Bear and WEBELOS Scouts to "think globally" and "act locally" to preserve and improve our environment.  This program is designed to make youth members aware that all nations are closely related through natural resources, and that we are independence with our world environment.  Click HERE for the application.
  • Outdoor Ethics Awayness Award / Outdoor Ethics Action Award  Cub Scouts who are interested in learning more about outdoor ethics and Leave No Trace may earn the Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award.  The Outdoor Ethics Action Award asks Scouts to use their new knowledge to take steps to improve their skills.

Adult Leaders

Cub Scouting's volunteer leaders work with boys and their families to improve their communities by enriching the lives of the families who live there.  Cub Scout leaders support the family. They take an active part in helping to strengthen families and their youth by providing a fun-filled, worthwhile program that teaches values.  Please see below for resources and a's page about Adult Leaders.  Thank you for your service to our youth.
