Eagle Scout - Trail to Eagle

Since 1912, the Eagle Scout rank has represented a milestone of accomplishment—perhaps without equal—that is recognized across the country and even the world. Those who have earned the Eagle Scout rank count it among their most treasured achievements. “Eagle Scout” is not just an award; it is a state of being. Those who earned it as youth continue to earn it every day as adults. That is why an Eagle Scout IS an Eagle Scout—not was.


As of January 25, 2021, all aspects of the Eagle Scout process will be conducted at the local District level.

To streamline the Eagle Scout process, youth will coordinate the submittal of their Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook, Proposal & Report, and Eagle Scout Rank Application through their District Eagle Board contact. Please be sure to remind youth to follow BSA YPT guidelines and include a unit leader or parent while emailing or calling their District Eagle contact.

Once an Eagle Board of Review is completed, the Eagle Board will submit the Eagle Scout Rank Application to the Council office for the Registrar to submit it to the National BSA office for approval. The National BSA processing time for the Council to receive the Eagle packet may take up to 60 days. For additional information, please contact your District Advancement Chair.

Eagle Scout Light Box

Eagle Scout Light Box: The Council office manages the Eagle Scout Badge Light box reservations. The Eagle Scout Light Box Reservations form may be downloaded, completed and then forwarded to the address at the bottom of the form to request reservations. The Eagle Scout Badge Light box is stored at the Council Service Center and is normally picked up and returned to the Council Service Center.

The Eagle Scout Badge Light Box is on a first come, first serve basis. Click HERE to download a sample ceremony that may be used with the Eagle Scout Badge Light Box. This ceremony is based upon the Eagle Scout Charge that national normally sends with the Eagle Scout award and certificate.  Feel free to use any ceremony that you feel is appropriate for your unit.
