COVID-19 Update:



Mixed groups or Scouting Units are not allowed to camp overnight according to VA Executive Order #72 and the Virginia Department of Health.  

Effective Sept. 1, 2020 BSA member families are permitted to camp overnight at Camp Rock Enon. This is limited to immediate families only. One family per campsite or cabin. 

Masks must be worn by everyone in camp when they are indoors or outdoors and can not maintain a minimum of 6' social distance. 

Group size is limited to a maximum of 10 people.

Are you looking for a place for your pack, troop, team or crew to hold a weekend campout?  Or how about getting outdoors with your family for a camping experience? Camp Rock Enon has campsites, cabins and more available for rent.  Camping and events (wedding, retreats, etc) are available for rental by non-Scouting groups as well.  Campsites and Cabins must be reserved in advance and are on a first come first serve basis.

Off Season Camping is available from September 1st through May 31st.
Water in campsites is turned OFF Late October thru March.  

Please note some dates are blocked because of a scheduled Council Activity at Camp Rock Enon. 

Remember this is a Scout camp, NO Pets, Alcohol, Illegal Drugs or Personal firearms are permitted. For a complete list of camp rules and policies please download and read the CRE OFF SEASON CAMPING GUIDE (revised 8/2020) click HERE , before you make a reservation or arrive at camp. You are responsible to know and follow all rules and policies in the guide while at Camp Rock Enon along with the BSA Guide To Safe Scouting. Failure to follow these rules and policies will result in being removed from camp property without any refund. 

Please note our refund policy for off season camping:

  • 30+ days:  Full refund, less $5 cancellation fee
  • 15-29 days:  75% refund, less $5 cancellation fee
  • 8-14 days:  50% refund, less $5 cancellation fee
  • 13-1 days:  No Refund
  • Reservation dates can be changed unless within 7 days of the original reservation date.

Mountain Man Primitive Campsites: $10/night minimum 2 nights  
Located on Camp Rock Enon property on the hill above the lake by the chapel in the woods and open field, approx. 15 acre area. 
We have a small number of primitive campsites at Camp Rock Enon that are great for real outdoor tent camping with no amenities. 
There is a pit latrine within short walking distance. Water is available at Garrabrandt Lodge. 
  • Mountain Man Woods #1: Includes small pavilion and campfire circle
  • Mountain Man Field #1: Includes campfire circle
  • Mountain Man Field #2: Includes campfire circle
Main Camp Developed Campsites: $15/night minimum 2 nights
We have 14 campsites in the main area of camp. Each campsite has a handwashing station with water service (except from late October thru April 1st), pit-style latrine, medium to large size pavilion, campfire circle, and raised tent platforms (typically 7'6" x 9'6"). Most campsites also have ample ground area to set up tents of you do not want to use the platforms. Some campsites also have 3-sided shelters (Adirondacks). Some campsites have a cabin available for a separate charge. Note: Anyone renting a tent campsite that also has a cabin may be sharing the overall campsite with a Unit or family that has rented the cabin.

  • Tall Timbers (20 tent platforms) ALSO has a 20 person cabin (additional charge)
  • Zeb (8 tent platforms) Note: not a good site to set up tents directly on the ground due to a lot of rocks. 
Cabins: $30/night minimum 2 nights
Our cabins are rustic log or wood-sided structures with electricity. Typically they have one small room with 2 bunk beds, a large room with 8 bunk beds, a picnic table, and a wood-burning stove. There will be a pit-style latrine and campfire circle in the adjacent campsite. Water service is available in the adjacent campsite (except from late October thru April 1st). It is recommended to bring your own padding and sleeping bag for the bunk beds. Note: Anyone renting a cabin in a campsite may be sharing the overall campsite with a Unit or family that has rented the tent campsite.

Staff Lounge/Bunkhouse: $35/night minimum 2 nights

The staff lounge/bunkhouse is a wood-sided building with electricity. There is one large room with a wood-burning stove, couches, flat screen tv with wifi service, tables and chairs. The second large room is divided into 4 bunkrooms with 2-4 beds. It is recommended to bring your own padding and sleeping bag for the bunk beds. There is a pit-style latrine and campfire circle near the building. There is no water service near the building but can be sourced at Garrabrandt Lodge. 
Check In / Out
Check in is from 5-9pm on the day of your arrival. Check out of your campsite or cabin is by 10 am on your day of departure.
The main gate into camp will be closed at 9pm. If you plan to arrive before 5 pm contact the Camp Ranger or Campmaster on duty prior to making your reservations at 540-858-2551. 
All campsites and cabins will be inspected before check-out for cleanliness and damage. Any damage will be charged to the Unit or family that made the reservation. 
All trash must be hauled out when you leave. There is NO trash service during Off-Season Camping at Camp Rock Enon. 
Lake at Camp Rock Enon
The lake is open for fishing from the shore or fishing dock. Do not fish from the swimming docks or along the road. Do not go into the white-fenced areas around the lake. Swimming or boating are prohibited. Stay off of the Dam.

The following are prohibited at Camp Rock Enon:

Personal firearms or bows, Gambling, Fireworks in any form, Sheath Knives, Slingshots, Rock or stick throwing, Alcoholic beverages, All illegal drugs, Pets, excluding Service Animal

The Shenandoah Area Council allows “service animals: on Camp Rock Enon property in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Scouts, Leaders/Adults, and visitors who require the use of a service animal, as defined by Federal and Virginia State law, are required to contact the Camp Director at 540-858-2551 or at least one week in advance of arriving at CRE. It is always the responsibility of the person using a service animal to follow all policies and maintain control of the animal. At no time should a service animal be left “off leach” while on camp property.

No personal firearms or archery equipment will be permitted in camp. The only exception to this rule is always for law enforcement personnel required by their employer to carry a firearm. The firearm must be secured when not in their control.
