Scout's BSA Adventure Weekend (Youth age 11-18 years old)

Hosted by the Shenandoah Area Council at Camp Rock Enon, in Gore, Virginia.  The Scout's BSA Adventure Weekend program provides Scouts BSA troops an overnight camping opportunity with fully-planned and organized outdoor Scouting activities. There is the option to cook your own meals in your campsite or eat in the dining hall. This is a Troop level event in which the Scouts BSA youth attend with their Troop Leaders.

Your Troop will camp in a developed campsite with raised tent platforms (7'x9'), covered shelters with picnic tables, a campfire circle, pit-style latrine, and a wash station with drinkable running water. All of our campsites are a short walking distance from flush toilets, showers with hot water, dining hall meal service and other camp amenities. Your Troop will need to bring their own tents and other camping equipment including sleeping bags, cots and personal gear. If your Troop is planning to take advantage of the option to cook your own meals in your campsite you will need to bring some basic outdoor cooking equipment. (Refer to the Activity Guide for more information).

Scouts BSA Adventure Weekend is a great way to get out into nature and put the Scouting outdoor program into action. The Program is designed with both the new and veteran Scout in mind.

Program Activities will include open shooting such as archery, aerial sporting arrow, .22 rifle, shotgun and cowboy action shooting ranges, climbing and rappelling and several other options to choose from. For the new Scout they will have the option to spend the morning program time to work on completing various Tenderfoot rank requirements. Additional Program activities will vary depending on the event and theme.
